Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18th, 1985 in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed an early talent for athletics when she was attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Her sprinting talents at the at the time. After only 10 weeks after the first time she tried, she was second in the 200-meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. She later attended college at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. The following year, Felix achieved her debut Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record doing 200 meters with a time of 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top 3 in all her events.
